Shouldn't these guides use the services command aliases (/NickServ, ChanServ, etc) instead of /msg?

There might be some old clients out there that don't understand these aliases, but then again, should we think about those?

I think we should be aiming for backwards compatability and since all clients recognise /msg we should continue using that.

Maybe we should not put <channel> but rather just channel in the syntaxlines. Users can think the brackets are required and add them to their password, however they will enter the password without those brackets, and start wondering why it doesn't work.

Or even better, use channel, in italics. That is what I have done in all wiki pages I wrote / imported.

All user variables are now in italics.

Another thing that crossed my mind, maybe we should link to other commands that are mentioned. e.g. Register mentions ACCESS, so maybe we can change that into ACCESS

--Alex 16:52, 20 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Sorry, I had already done this with the NickServ page and meant to do it with this one. It's done now.

Shouldn't the sub entries under SET but sub titles rather than just emphasised?

Can there be some indication of what the 'certain commands' are that VERBOSE will indicate? --ftmichael 15:47, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
