The Blitzed Executive Board (EB) are the ultimate authority for Blitzed and have final say in all matters.

[edit] Purpose
The EB exists to provide a benevolent dictatorship for Blitzed. Without the EB, sometimes there is no one who feels they have ultimate responsibility and matters get ignored because no clear consensus can be reached.
Although the EB do assert their ultimate authority, their remit is only as caretakers and chairpersons for all Blitzed matters. Blitzed is not possible without the time and talents of many people and the EB do not intend to go against the wishes of the majority of staff. For example, although EB technically have the authority to overrule the outcome of any admin vote, this has never happened in the entire history of Blitzed.
Where possible, the EB prefers to delegate responsiblity for specific areas of Blitzed operation to the various Blitzed teams.
The EB also exists to claim ownership of some essential resources like dedicated Blitzed servers, the blitzed.org domain name, etc..
- The point is that the widespread urge to vote on everything is at best orthogonal to any desire to perform needed work; at worst, the former serves as an excuse to compulsively meddle in others' performance of the latter.

There is currently no policy in place to deal with removal or addition of members of the EB. As Blitzed grows it is possible that we may draw up some policies for election, but currently, EB staffing, like everything else, is decided by the EB itself.
