TwitFolk is a bot which gates Twitter and Identica statuses into IRC.
It was born after a brief debate on the subject. It is still experimental.
If you have a Twitter or Identica account and would like your tweets/dents gated into IRC then let grifferz know.
See also bitfolk/planet.
[edit] Now the dust has settled...
TwitFolk has been in #BitFolk for some time now. How do people think it is going? Are there any changes you wish to see made? Should the thing be scrapped totally?
[edit] How to ignore someone
If you don't appreciate someone's Twitter output but you don't want to entirely ignore the bot, you could use a regular expression ignore.
[edit] irssi
The exact syntax may depend on the POSIX regex library that your irssi uses. The below seems to work on Debian Lenny.
/ignore -regexp -pattern \[theirnick/ TwitFolk!*twitfolk@*.bitfolk.com notices
